I am a mother to two great children. A beautiful, creative teenage daughter (note to self, this to shall pass ) that is just like her mama,  and  the sweetest, funniest little five year old boy, that I just could eat up, I love so much. I am married to a fireman who is a wonderful cook, and caretaker by nature (single ladies, most fireman are)  Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and peach cobbler was the first meal he cooked for me. Need I say more, hence the 20lbs Ive gained in the 6 yrs we’ve been married.

I am a portrait & wedding photographer.  I am obsessed with black and white images. They speak to my heart. For some reason smiley portraits are never my favorites. I love a sweet somber portrait of a child. I think because it is genuine. (don’t get me wrong, I love a belly laugh)

I love design, so much that Ive been living in the dream home we built over a year ago, completely UN- designed , not even one picture on the wall)  I am paralysed by all the possibilities.

I love words and quotes, my sweet daddy instilled that in me. He also gave me my dreamers spirit, taught me that I could do anything I set my mind to.

I love business and entrepreneurs. The process of taking an idea and nurturing it into something bigger than you ever imagined is exciting and inspiring to me.

I love the whole blog world. I can get lost in it for hours!

The wheels of my creative brain never stop turning. This is both a blessing and a curse.

I have the best business partner in the world Josh Moates. I started the business a year before Josh and I became partners. The name had already stuck, (thats why its Kim Box Photography, but we are partners, 50/50.) He inspires me daily. He is truly the most talented person I know. He gave up his career in a rock band (gold record and all) to be my partner. He talked me into quitting my day job to follow this dream. He is like my brother. I am so blessed to know him.

I am surrounded daily by amazing, creative friends. The people I work with and for. People that I love. People that make me want to be and do better.
